Kane Engineering has recently completed a major LV switchgear project for North Down Borough Council at its new AURORA Aquatic and Leisure Complex in Bangor.
This state of the art facility included Northern Ireland's first 50M Olympic standard swimming pool along with family fun water area, health and fitness suite and a main sports hall.
The project comprised of a Main distribution switchboard with Mains & Generator 2000A ACB incomers and bus coupler, 80 outgoing feeders complete with metering and two 300Kvar detuned powerfactor cabinets.
Apart from the main LV panels, Kane also supplied a combined heating and power 1000A rated Form 4 type 2 sub switchboards, state of the art lighting control panels, panel boards and feeder pillers.
The project was completed for local construction firm Farrans and M&E contractor Dowds.
