Edinburgh Tram Head Quarters LV Switchgear

Kane Engineering has designed and manufactured the new Main LV Switchboard for the Edinburgh Tram Head Quarters, including the supply of:

Cubical pattern Main LV Switchboard to BS EN 60 439-1:1994, Form 4 type 5, IP43. Comprising of 1250A 50KA busbar system, Merlin Gerin MCCB’s 2No 1250A supply authority & Generator Incomers, 34No outgoing feeder MCCB’s rated up to 400A C/W selected energy metering interfaced with the building management system on a Modbus network and an integrated 225KVAR Power Factor Correction cubicle.

The project was completed for M&E contractor GR White Ltd. during the period 2011.
